Lucas Holleman

Lucas Holleman
My name is Lucas Holleman and I am of Dutch origin, but have
long been a confirmed Australian! After my retirement, my wife and I moved to Mount Barker in 2014, something we had wanted to do for a long time.
Once we completed extensive renovations on our 100-year old home and reviving a neglected garden during these last few years, I enrolled in oil painting classes, as I always like to draw and had an interest in art.
My current collection consists of a variety of subjects as I don’t like painting the same thing over and over, but like the challenge of trying different scenes.
I hope you like what I’ve achieved so far.

Ellie is a member of the Australian Society of Marine Artists and has participated in many successful exhibitions. She has paintings in private collections in many states of Australia as well as overseas.  Ellie paints in oil and pastel, and although principally self-taught, is grateful to her mentors who encouraged her to take risks and be bold with her mediums of choice.

Michelle Stanley

Michelle Stanley
Michelle has been painting for several years, inspired by Barry's classes and a love of the arts and environment.
"Having worked as a photograper for many years, I think that way of seeing, of 'capturing the moment', sometimes translates to the way I paint. It's always a learning process, evolving, exploring, drawing on memory and emotion, trying new things, that's what I love about painting ....
.... and those rare and wonderful moments, where one is totally immersed in the process. "
